The Safe-Ox+ oxygen (O₂) gas monitor offers protection for medical staff and patients from the dangers of enriched oxygen (O₂) and is trusted by hospitals across the globe.
This O₂ enrichment monitor is simple to install, is wall mountable and is ideal for emergency rooms and critical care wards such as intensive care units (ICU’s), infectious disease units (IDU’s), and high dependency units (HDU’s). It will alert users to dangerous levels of oxygen (O₂) in the event of a leak from a manifold or cylinder.
The Safe-Ox+ will alert doctors, nurses and medical staff to any oxygen (O₂) levels above 23.5% with an audible and visual alarm, enabling them to take quick action to make the area safe.
The unit can be wall mounted at normal working head height in the gas storage room, or where enriched oxygen (O₂) is piped. The unit comes with one repeater as standard which is located at the entrance to the room.
NHS Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Standard Operating Procedures highlights the need for oxygen (O₂) monitoring to keep our healthcare sites safe:
Extract: “Where medical oxygen consumption increases, steps must be taken to ensure the oxygen level (oxygen enrichment) is maintained below 23.5%.”
Enriched oxygen (O₂) poses a risk of hyperoxia on the human body as well as presenting an increased fire risk. This is also detailed in EH40 and OSHA regulations.
Saving lives and rapid crisis response is at the heart of what we do. We design our systems in a way which enables you to focus on the job at hand, delivering the best possible care for your patients.
